Garnell Wilds, and USF

Lemme tell ya about Washington Redskins defensive back Garnell Wilds. Garnell is a undrafted rookie from Virginia Tech. He's spent most of the year on the practice squad. But he was brought up to the 53 man roster a few weeks before the end of the season. He did a great job for the "department of defense" in Washington, he even did a great job covering Randy Moss last week. So, the Washington Times, a newspaper owned by Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church, published this outstanding article about Garnell and the outstanding Redskins defense. Perhaps you'd like to read it.
I think Garnell needs to work as hard as he can this offseason. He has a chance to play regularly in the NFL. If he puts everything he can into it, and spends the next 8 months lifting weights, watching film and trying to prepare for the 2005 season, he just might develop into a star.
Garnell is from Tampa. He graduated from Hillsborough High a few years ago. And his Dad is George Wilds, owner of the Blue Shark at 1620 7th av in the Ybor City section of Tampa.
Make sure you check our schedule and come see JGLB at the Blue Shark soon. Make sure you congratulate George on his son's NFL success! Man, too bad he doesn't play for the you-know-who's!
ALSO: see ya for BASKETBALL at the sun dome! next game: USF hosts UAB! Saturday Jan 8th at 1 PM! UAB is an excellent team. They beat Kentucky in the 2004 NCAA tournament to advance to the "sweet 16" finalists. But, USF always plays 'em tough, and almost beat 'em at the Sun Dome last year (what a game)!
