USF 72, East Carolina 71 (USF: 1st place C-USA)

Greenville, NC (JGLB): USF made a bunch of free throws in the late going and held on to beat East Carolina 72-71 Wednesday Night.
Senior forward (and Robinson High School graduate) Terrence Leather, a strong candidate for all C-USA, had 18 points and 16 rebounds (thats great stats in a college basketball game). Senior guard Brian Swift played 39 minutes, scored 14 points and had a career high 9 assists. Freshman Colin Dennis had 15 pts amd made 9 of 10 Free Throws... lemme tell ya, free throws have truly been the achilles heel of USF basketball for years, and they got guys who can make free throws now..
Coach Robert Mccullum praised Dennis' free throw shooting, telling him "You're no longer a freshman"
Mccullum also praised Leather's rebounding, saying "Terrence did a fantastic job tonight"
"we lost our poise briefly but regained our poise quickly and Terrence was a big part of that" said the coach...
on the post game radio show, Terrence Leather delivered a moving tribute to his good friend, the late Kwane Doster.
