i don't want to join any club that would have me as a member

Allright, Johnny… I’ve been busy doing research on a project, and haven’t had a chance to respond to your pleas for more stuff on this here blog (with the unspoken reasoning that more=better). I have now made you an ADMINISTRATOR of this blog, which means you have the ability to edit and delete posts that may be viewed as objectionable. You can also freely add posters if you so desire, without waiting for me to “get around to it.” So go add Wil, Penny, Sir Oliver, and Phil if you like. If you don’t have time to mess with it, I’d be happy to do it. Let me know. In order to add Wil, Penny, Sir Oliver, and Phil as main posters, I’ll need all of their email addresses. (send ‘em via email so no potential stalkers get their personal info). I guess that’s everything for now. Have a nice day.

Debut of a new series here on JGLB.net

These days, most people go out to a club. The clubs employ talented DJ’s that play recorded music for patrons to dance along while drinking alcoholic beverages. Another popular past time is heading to a karaoke bar. The karaoke bars employ talented KJ’s that play recorded music for patrons to sing along while drinking alcoholic beverages. In the above cases, we all know what to do and how to act. But what happens when your crew decides to go see a live band? The quaint, ancient art of playing live music is very much like enjoying a night out at a dance club or karaoke bar. There are a few differences, however, and I’ll be giving pointers over the next few weeks. We can give the series a catchy name that’s easy to remember like HOW TO ACT IN A BAR WHEN A MUSICAL ACT IS ON STAGE.

Stay tuned for all the details...

school part three

I could not be more proud of the USF BULLS MENS' BASKETBALL TEAM.
ROBERT MCCULLUM may not be the coach of the year. But the most important month in college basketball is MARCH. Coach Mccullum's team has won three in a row in March - against some of the best teams in college basketball.
I could talk for days about how difficult it is to play a team like Cincinnatti, and how well USF played that game. But, no time. Tonight is MEMPHIS... not a top 25 team like Charlotte and Cincy, but a well coached team with excellent players, some of whom weigh a lot, which could wear us down...
NO TIME FOR DOUBT. LETS GO GET 'EM!

school part two

i also went to school here. Arnie also went there. Arnie runs Goodfellas. JGLB plays Goodfellas friday march 11. So everybody from Stockbridge, let's have a reunion. Especially since the school no longer exists.
speaking of which, a man named "Willie" is trying to contact "Harold L Shyer." somehow, this seems the appropriate place to post this.
Willie and Harold, see ya at Goodfellas on Friday, unless you think I am a clown, here to amuse you. Thank to Bob for the pics... also thanks to Mr. Shyster for his photos.

Attn Harold L Shyster

This message is for Harold L. Shyster. I bought a Jackie Fargo watch from you in the 60's. The damn cheap piece of $#!T broke after a day or two.
I wanna go to 627 Church Street and buy a Sir Oliver Humperdink watch, which I am sure would be of the highest quality. Do you have them in stock?
If you don't know diamonds, know your jeweler. And if Harold says it's so, it's so.
Here's a great pic of Harold, he's on the left.

School part one

I went to school here. This school has a basketball team. Tonight they play in their conference tournament against Houston.
Lare breaking news: the game may be on time warner channel 47...
Perhaps the Bulls will play tommorow?
stay tuned for school part two...
LATE UPDATE / EDIT: USF beats Houston 69-64! USF advances in the tournament, and will play powerhouse Cincinnati thursday March 10 at 9:30 PM eastern. Terrence Leather scored a round one tournament-high 25 points and added 14 rebounds. These guys will keep playing until they lose.
I am very proud of my favorite team.

Nice day on the bay

Sunday was a beautiful day. We spent the morning at the Harbor Sounds Seafood and Music Festival in Safety Harbor. A big thanks goes to Max Van Laundromax for helping us out. And lest I forget, a special appearance was made by Otis Velt. A crowd pleaser for sure. Much love to all the vendors there serving delicious grouper sammiches, too.

The Commish and his beautiful bride were seen enjoying the weather and great music as well as Momma & Poppa Duncan. Hi Mom!

changing pics

i am gonna change out some of the pics on jglb.net, our website.
this may mean i gotta fix some links in this here blog.
please be patient, but if I haven't fixed 'em by say, mid-March. let me know.
thanks, johnny
ps: how can i get more space for pics on our website?

hey Tommy: we need posters!

and i got 3 people we should add to our posters list.
first, Will Perish.
then, Penny Robinson.
and possibly most important, Sir Oliver Humperdink.
And how bout Phil!
after all, these guys have contributed more than Ray or Benny! (hint, hint, Ray and Benny!)
by the way, Tommy, you haven't posted since Feb 14, so you're due for some ruminatin'. your own personal blog is awesome, but save some time for the good ol' JGLB blog!
